- Complete registration form through our parish website https://stbrigidsmidland.com.au/. Fill out the form you wish your child/children to receive.
- Compulsory attendance of candidate and at least one parent/caregiver during Commitment Mass.
- Compulsory attendance for at least one parent/caregiver on the Parent Information Night.
All schedules will be posted soon.
Parish Preparation Classes for Sacraments If your child does not attend St Brigid’s Primary School, parish catechism session will be held on an afternoon after school hours. The schedules for these classes will be available soon. If you would like to enroll your child or have any questions, please feel free to contact Gail Ryan directly or reach out to the parish office.
Summary of Ideal Ages for Sacraments
- Reconciliation (First Confession): 7-8 years old (Year 3)
- Holy Communion (First Eucharist): 7-9 years old (Year 4)
- Confirmation: 12-16 years old (Year 6 to Year 10)
For all of these sacraments, it is important for parents and families to be actively involved in their child’s preparation. The Church encourages regular Mass attendance, prayer, and involvement in parish life to ensure that children and teens are spiritually ready to receive these sacraments. We look forward to your child’s spiritual growth and participation in these important sacraments
